Um...so, I've been playing with making a banner for my LJ.  I made the banner and with a little bit of help from syehsreh and coding for beginners I even managed to put the banner up on my LJ.  Go me.  Except now, it looks kinda like this.  Which is bad because I want to show off the banner not have my posts on top of it. *sigh*

Does anyone have any advice on how to fix this?  Is there a way to fix this with a basic or plus account?

I was under the impression that you could not use a header graphic unless you were a paid user. But do not take my word for truth, as I am hopelessly stupid when it comes to this place.

Yeah...I was afraid of that. I was just hoping that I was thinking incorrectly on that subject.

Actually, there are two layouts for Basic/Plus accounts that will allow you to use headers. Quite Lickable and 3 Column both allow you to add a header. Flexible Squares, which seems to be what you have currently, requires a custom stylesheet to mount a header on a Basic/Plus account.

I found 3 Column easier to work with when I designed headers for [livejournal.com profile] ladynyxchaos. The one tip I'd suggest with that layout is to enter the header height plus ten pixels to leave a space between the header and your main content boxes.

I don't know if that helps at all, but it's the only solution I've found for B/P accounts.

That helps tons and tons! You're the only person I've found that's been able to help me with this actually, so thank you very much! :D
