I wrote another Good Wife fic.
tamoline was awesome enough to beta it for me and someday I might actually get around to posting it. Sigh.
Despite last week's brush with the flu, I'm actually feeling pretty good out about my workout regimen at the moment. Trying to work in some more strength training related stuff. My muscles do not approve. As in, ow, fuck that hurts. So far so good in the weight loss department though.
As much as I love Farscape I've never watched it from the beginning so it's my current "watch while working out" show. I love not having to stream it as my streaming capabilities blow. There's nothing so irritating as desperately trying to watch some show to distract me from the boredom, screaming muscles and panting lungs of my out of shape body while having it endlessly buffer. It actually makes it more painful.
I'd already caught the first two episodes of Season 1 on previous workout days a few months ago. I kind of ran out of room on my iPhone to put more stuff on there and I didn't want to take anything off and I'm a little OCD about it. Anyway, today I started with the third episode of Season 1: Exodus for Genesis.
(Do I need to say SPOILERS? There are SPOILERS.)
I won't say that it was Farscape's finest hour - there are too many really good episodes for that - but it was a good solid hour (ish) of television.
Dentics are gross, and so was the bug of the week. The first season seems big on bugs of the week. John learned a Very Important Lesson courtesy of Zahn. I <3 Zahn. Also, we got our introduction to Heat Delirium, the Living Death and Aeryn asked John to kill her (mercy killing). For Aeryn, that was practically hearts and flowers and have my babies, John. If only John knew.
I thought the plot of the week was a little trite and Star Trek-y, where everyone "learned" something but over all I liked it. It had a lot of good character moments and the John/Aeryn is already starting to build. Boy, he really was always head over heels for her wasn't he? It's sooooo painfully obvious.
Rygel! I think he can be underrated sometimes. He gets written off as the irritating comic relief, but I love that little muppet. He deserves more credit for making the show awesome, and low down and grubby. Sometimes he's the realest thing on this show full of very real characters. I don't think he gets enough credit. Heh.
Early morning tomorrow. I really, really want to get up and workout. I will. I will. I will. We'll see (if I post about tomorrow's episode). Yeah, that's it.
I'm headed out of town next week so I doubt I'll be posting anything, but we'll see.
I need a Farscape icon.
