So, yeah, [profile] cirroco_desade and I are going to be on Femslash 4 Fans talking about NCIS femslash.    Fun times!   The show starts at 10 PM EST, and can be found here.

You can also call in live an harass us ask questions, if you'd like.

Official blurbage:

Dear readers,

Femslash For Fans at
http://www.blogtalkradio.com/allaine is a call-in Internet radio show I've been hosting for the past three months, devoted to Internet femslash fan communities and the authors who write there. The goal is to give femslash fanfic authors the chance to be interviewed over the medium of live audio, and readers the chance to hear what their favorites have to say.

In the wake of the extremely successful discussions in recent weeks of popular femslash pairings in TV crime drama, like "Women's Murder Club", "Criminal Minds", and "CSI: Miami", the series continues, airing LIVE next Thursday, September 17th, at 10 PM EST:

NCIS - In the Lab with Cirroco DeSade and Jaina

F4F's series on femslash in TV crime dramas continues with our look at the CBS drama NCIS, a spinoff of the successful legal drama JAG which has become a success in its own right with six full seasons, a seventh ready to go in the fall, and about to generate a spinoff of its own. And Abby's been there from the beginning. Besides being probably the longest-running Goth character in TV history, besides being someone who drinks way too much fictional soda, the dark-in-appearance but light-in-spirit Abby Sciuto has been a star with the NCIS femslash fans. First there were all the Abby/Kate shippers, and when Kate Todd was murdered, the Abby/Ziva fans picked up right where the others left off. Clearly the old joke is true - once you go black, you really can't go back. Whether Abby femslash gets your Bunson burning, or whether you prefer a pairing like Jenny/Ziva, there will be something for you in this segment as we interview two experienced fanfic talents - "Officer Down" writer
[info]cirroco_desade, and [info]jaina47, author of the "Crying in Their Beer" and "Into the Setting Sun" series.

I hope people here will listen in. If you can't listen live, you can listen later by downloading the .mp3 file. There will also be a live chatroom while the show is on. You can also go to
http://www.blogtalkradio.com/allaine to hear all previous interviews.

Remember, the show airs at 10 PM Eastern Standard Time and runs until 10:45 PM. Please join us. We're all very excited for this occasion.

Sincerely, Allaine

P.S. There were some technical difficulties with the most recent show on CSI: Miami. I want to assure people that this was a one-time situation, and that they can still download a copy of a really entertaining conversation.

I kept meaning to thank you for pointing her in my direction! I had to say no because I didn't think I had very much to offer to the conversation, but I was hugely honored to be considered. Good luck tomorrow night!

Oh, God. I don't know that I have anything to say. Is it too late to go into witness protection? I suck at speaking. So, yes, your good wishes...much appreciated!

As for pointing him in your direction, of course! Dude, you wrote over a hundred NCIS fics and you're the reason I started writing NCIS femslash. Of course, I recc'd you.

I'm sure you'll be fantastic! I, on the other hand, would single-handedly bring down the quality of their entire endeavor. ;-D Good luck!

And awww, thank you! Those 100 stories were written so long ago, though. I would have to have the website open and be reading my own fic in order to refer to it. ;-D

Yeah Race, geez, even AJ and Jenn tried to tone the language down :P

For the record, none of my guests have sounded like idiots. A few sounded like Canadians, but that's about it.

Sincerely, Allaine

What can I say, as a scholar of communication and linguistics, I have an inherent appreciation for the elegant simplicity of so called "four letter words" and believe they, as much as any other explicative, deserve fair consideration in common use *snerk* :P

LOL and I'd defend the canuks...but its too much fun ;p

Feel free to call in tonight and dazzle us with your linguistics some more. It should be a party - and unlike last week, people should be able to HEAR us.

Sincerely, Allaine

Hear the broadcast? How novel!

:P and if I'm not buried in "Heuristics for the Social Sciences" i will, I'm sure it will be an excellent show.

:)
