Apparently I can upload a new chapter to any fic that I want to except for the one that I actually want to upload a new chapter to.  Thanks a lot ff.n!

Yay! I am not alone! *grin* I'm glad to see I'm not the only one who sometimes has issued with ff.n!

Heh, I've found that if you step away from the pc (before pounding it into a million pieces), getting a big hit of coffee and trying again at a later date works the best for me.
