I was just kinda thinking about how she would comfort him when I realized they couldn't hug. It's something that KH tends to bring up with Ivy, but not so much Jenks. It's actually kinda scary and dark when you think of how isolated all of her characters are for various reasons.
I also really like your use of humour throughout this story, despite the seriousness of the situation, that thread of humour keeps it from getting too dark.
Thanks. I've noticed that KH does that a lot, and I was trying to stay as true to the feel of the story as possible.
