So I was involved in running the Saga Fan Fiction Awards for the JC this winter. It was quite a bit of fun, a large amount of headache and it also caused me to lose whatever sanity I might have had left. I rejoiced long and hard when it was over and then I winced because I realized that TEH DRAMA was coming now that the awards were over.
I made a bet with a friend of mine about the exact nature of TEH DRAMA that would follow. It was either laugh hysterical or totally lose it at that point. Well as the fates would have it, my friend was correct and I lost the bet. Loosing meant that I had to write the fic of my friends chosing. She chose to make me write a mushy Jaina/Zekk fic that she's been trying to get me to write for a while, so here it is....
Reaching Out
Teaser for Reaching Out
Out of the corner of his eye, he sees and notes the foot of space that she has left between them. He looks back out into the jungle.
“But Tenel Ka can’t sleep and is acting moodier than a bunch of Dathomirian Nightsisters stuck in a leaky hut during monsoon season at a very bad time of the month. Jacen is practically snapping off the head of anyone who come near him and Lowie refuses to talk at all. Something is effecting us, and I don’t think it’s all this fresh jungle air.”
“So that’s why you’re here?” he asks. Because you’re worried about all of them, he thinks. I shouldn’t be here. I should never have come here.
