So...
The proposed, but not yet so much a reality, NCIS femslash ficathon...
So far eight out of about fifty people have responded positively. Nine if you count me. That's about a tenth of the community. Scary odds is what I'm saying. In my experience less people follow through than show up and say they want something. But...I'm still thinking about going through with it anyways. Because clearly I'm crazy.
Right now I'm working on trying to figure out when to hold it. The two months that've got the most votes (read two) for when to hold said ficathon are January and March. At this point I'm trying to find out when the general NCIS ficathon is going to be held this year because the absolute last thing I want is a time conflict with that. The other thing is to find out when it would work out as a highlighted fandom with P&P, because really this needs all the word of mouth awareness that it can get.
I'm kinda leaning towards March actually if it's not a conflict with everything else. January might be good for striking while the iron is hot, but while I've run a lot of fic challenges on message boards ficathons are still pretty new to me and I need a little bit of time to get the actual logistics and the 'how to' of the thing figured out. And if anyone has suggestions I'd be delighted to hear it.
