If you go with a stupid plot device, then handle it in way that is in character for the characters you so lovingly created over the past years.
Oops. Sorry. Really liked this start, really like Natalia actually talking to Olivia. Not liking the pod!Natalia that took over on the show.
I love fanfic. *sigh*
