Love a good emotional rollercoaster and this one is worth reading again and again! The use of canon storyline references was brilliant, really 'aging' us along with the characters. Despite how much time passed in the course of the tale, I got the sense of that time passing and the effect it had on everybody. Also good to see that Kate managed to burn the heaviest of the angst from her system. Some pains don't fade earlier, particularly when new shit gets shoveled in on top and the plot reflected that.
