I love Jenks and Rachel's relationship in the books. They're great friends and even better partners, but I do think that sometimes Jenks takes on a little bit of a 'Dad' role for Rachel. Goodness knows she could use it.
He threatens her boyfriends, and points out when she's making stupid life decisions. I think a lot of it happens to do with the fact that he has fifty-four kids. It's probably just a natural reflex for him. :p
