Legend of the Seeker or I'm so totally geeked in a fangirly way.

So I knew that Terry Goodkind author of the Sword of Truth series was turning the series into a tv show, but I figured it was never gonna happen, kind of like Anne McCaffrey's Dragon Rider's of Pern never made it to tv.

However...this one totally did as Legend of the Seeker.  It's coming on November 1st, like a pre-birthday present just for me.  And okay, so maybe Richard's a little young and pretty for how I always pictured him and the woman playing Kahlan isn't at all how I pictured her either, and I've never heard of either of the actors it just might not suck completely.

(Note: this is me being cynical so that I can say 'I told you so' and not be totally depressed when it does suck. If it doesn't suck I will be completely estatic.)

I'm already fairly estatic.  This has the ability to be a very cool show, if they even include half of the book stuff, which I hope they do.  It's actually one of the books I know of that let the female characters interact in some way that isn't fighting and/or bonding over a man.

Anyway, I'm geeked.  It's a fangirl's dream come true.  Yayness, etc.  :p

Oh believe me, I agree that Richard/Kahlan is totally awesome. It took them way too long to really get together, btw, though as I was reading the series, I had to admire the fact that Goodkind didn't get tired of the tension and simply gloss over their issues. I'm just in the mood for something noncannon, and Kahlan would be incredibly hot in some femslash action *grin*

I had forgotten about Bernadine, and it would be incredibly awesome if that element were included! Not only would it be awesome to see some actual femslash on telivision, a far too rare sight compared to male/male, but it would signal that the series were good enough and populare enough to have made it to season 2.
